What happens when rhythms collide and merge?
Macabre and humorous performance based on Roald Dahl's short story Mary & William
At first glance, Mary Pearl appears to be a submissive, dutiful wife who passively endures the cold and authoritarian behavior of her husband William. Behind this façade, however, simmers a deep-rooted resentment toward William's intimidating dominance, which has stripped her of her personal freedoms and affection.
When the terminally ill William agrees to a medical experiment in which his brain and an eye are kept artificially alive after his death, Mary sees her chance to reclaim her freedom.
In the macabre and humorous production 'Till Death Do Us Part (or Not)', based on Roald Dahl's short story Mary and William, themes such as power, revenge, and medical ethics are expressed through explosive string music, hip-hop, and acrobatic dance.
