School Performances Primary Education 2025-2026

Meervaart introduces children from Amsterdam to various performing arts. You can choose from different disciplines for your school, and for each age group, there is an opportunity to watch a sparkling, exciting, or moving performance.

We offer an educational program for each school performance, which is conducted at the school by experienced theater educators. Since 2008, we have reached over 20,000 children with this initiative. In 2025-26, we will offer six new school performances and the opportunity for tailored education. Our offerings are compiled in the TDEA* brochure in collaboration with other Amsterdam theater institutions.

The performances for primary education are preceded by a surprising introductory lesson at the school upon request. After the performance, students will participate in an engaging workshop, which our subject teachers will happily conduct at your school.

Meervaart aims to accommodate as many groups as possible and therefore organizes placements based on the order of registration.

School Performances Secondary Education 2025-2026

Meervaart schedules various performances each school year for secondary education. Each performance connects with the students' world and addresses various current themes.

Registration
You can register for the performances by sending an email to [email protected]. Please specify which performance you would like to attend and how many students will be joining. For each ten students, we expect one accompanying teacher from the school during the performance visit.

Education
In addition to each performance, we offer preparation and/or follow-up activities in consultation with the company, ranging from lesson plans, workshops, discussions, and project paths. This is a valuable addition to the performance visit, and we highly recommend it. After registration, we will contact you to discuss the planning of these activities.
