School performances for primary education
Going to the theatre with your class? At Meervaart, pupils discover stories that surprise, challenge and encourage them to think. Every school year, we put together a varied programme for primary education. Our performances connect with pupils’ lives and current themes. They offer recognition, open up new perspectives and provide plenty of opportunities for discussion in the classroom.

Want to get even more out of your theatre visit?
A workshop or introduction can be arranged on request. This allows us to connect the theatre experience with what is happening in the classroom. Since 2008, our education programme has reached more than 20,000 children.
Registration
Register your group via amsterdamsetheaters.plannedculture.nl. Groups are allocated places in the order in which registrations are received.

As part of TDEA, Meervaart works together with De Krakeling, ITA, Bijlmer Parktheater, de Toneelmakerij, Podium Mozaïek and Danstheater AYA. Discover the joint programme of these Amsterdam theatres as well.
School Performances Secondary Education 2025-2027
Meervaart schedules various performances each school year for secondary education. Each performance connects with the students' world and addresses various current themes.
Registration
You can register for the performances by sending an email to [email protected]. Please specify which performance you would like to attend and how many students will be joining. For each ten students, we expect one accompanying teacher from the school during the performance visit.
Education
In addition to each performance, we offer preparation and/or follow-up activities in consultation with the company, ranging from lesson plans, workshops, discussions, and project paths. This is a valuable addition to the performance visit, and we highly recommend it. After registration, we will contact you to discuss the planning of these activities.
Allocation
Meervaart aims to accommodate as many groups as possible and therefore assigns placements based on the order of receipt of registrations.
