Ik heb geleerd om je niet te schamen voor wat je doet. Ik heb meer zelfvertrouwen gekregen en geleerd om gewoon te doen wat je kan.

Under the names Meervaart Jong and Meervaart Studio, Meervaart has been organizing programs in the field of talent development and education for Amsterdam's youth aged 2 to 25 for over 15 years.
Each year, about 800 children and 700 young people take creative classes at Meervaart. In addition to weekly lessons, young people can participate in competitions like Break a Leg and the preliminary round of Kunstbende Noord-Holland. Both are organized by and at Meervaart.
You may have seen our youth performing on various stages in the city. For example, the young people of Meervaart Jong create an annual performance around the theme of ‘freedom’ in collaboration with Theater Na de Dam. With the Labs of Meervaart Studio, we collaborate with FOAM and the Netherlands Film Academy. Meervaart is particularly proud of these programs.
We are there when children take their first steps on stage at the Meervaart Jong Festival and are also there when they return to the theater as creators, performers, or visitors.

Together, we invest in the development of children and young people in Amsterdam and can keep lesson costs low, enabling every child to participate in art and culture, regardless of their financial home situation.
