Meervaart Studio, Meervaart Young & Arts Collective
In addition to our productions, Meervaart organizes a diverse and vibrant range of activities for children and young people under the names Meervaart Young, Meervaart Studio and Arts Collective North Holland. For these programs we are looking for production talents to strengthen our team.
Are you an energetic go-getter who can work independently, makes connections easily and keeps an overview even under pressure? Do you have a great passion for arts & culture and are you studying art & culture, media or event management? Are you flexible and do you live in (the vicinity of) Amsterdam? Then we're looking for you!
At Meervaart we are looking for five production interns from September who want to contribute to our creative projects and programs.
PRODUCTION INTERN SOUGHT MEERVAART STUDIO
Meervaart Studio is the creative hotspot for Amsterdam youth aged 15 to 26. Here they discover and develop their talent in music, dance, theater, visual art and media. From our inspiring spaces, we offer workshops, long-term Labs and masterclasses led by professionals from the field. Members can also come to us daily to work on their own projects.
During this internship, you'll be fully involved and get to know the cultural sector from the inside. You'll support: The production, publicity and programming of workshops, labs, masterclasses and events. Contact with participants and coaches. Keeping our website and social media up to date. You'll be involved in every step leading up to an event: from initial idea to execution. No two days are the same!
In addition, you'll work one evening per week. You'll be the first point of contact for instructors and participants, ensuring everything in the building runs smoothly. The evening is to be arranged on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

PRODUCTION INTERNS SOUGHT FOR MEERVAART JONG
Meervaart Jong is here for children and young people aged 2 to 16 in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. Here they discover their talents in theater, dance, music and visual arts. They give shape to their own stories on stage, on paper or in an installation.
In weekly lessons they work together and build their own work and confidence. A place to discover, create and inspire each other. Every year all groups conclude their trajectory with the Meervaart Jong Festival. In between, they present their work during special projects and events at Meervaart and around the city, laying a creative foundation for their future.
For the 2026–2027 season we are looking for two interns (MBO & HBO) for a minimum of two days per week.
During this internship you work fully alongside the team and gain insight into the production process of youth activities within a theater context. You assist with the organization of lessons, projects and events and contribute to scripts and action plans. You help with project and student administration, maintain contact with parents and teachers and contribute ideas to annual planning and schedules. Additionally, you support promotion and recruitment and are present at events.
One afternoon or evening per week you are responsible for managing a lesson location. You are the primary point of contact for teachers, participants and parents.

SEEKING PRODUCTION INTERNS KUNSTBENDE NORTH HOLLAND
Kunstbende is the largest creative platform for young makers aged 12 to 19 from across the Netherlands, where we encourage young people to discover and develop themselves creatively in the fields of: Dance, Music, Exhibitions, DJ, Film, Fashion, Language, & Theater. To support them in this, we organize an extensive program with workshops, masterclasses, coaching and a talent competition on the stage of Meervaart.
Kunstbende North Holland is looking for two interns (MBO & HBO level) who can intern for a minimum of 3 days per week from September 2026 through June 2027.
You are a social thinker and good at organizing things. You understand how today's young people think, talk, communicate, navigate social media and where to find them. You have an interest in Art & Culture and our target audience: young people! As an intern at Kunstbende North Holland, you will be the main contact for all our participants and will work on the production of all our activities. You will also help us develop new ways to reach even more young people at Kunstbende, by establishing new partnerships or creating online recruitment tools, and you will help organize the North Holland Kunstbende preliminary round, pre-selections, various promotional activities, workshops, masterclasses, school tours and showcases.
Kunstbende North Holland works with many cultural organizations and media outlets. These contacts and collaborations make an internship at Kunstbende North Holland valuable and offer a great opportunity to gain experience in both content and production knowledge, as well as to learn about the sector from the inside and out.

IN CLOSING
Meervaart offers you a challenging and varied internship in the theater with lots of responsibility and diverse tasks. During your internship, there is also room for deepening your knowledge and completing assignments from your studies. For the internship you receive a monthly gross allowance of €450,- (based on 5 days per week), and you may sometimes attend Meervaart performances for free. We are looking for interns who can work independently, have good communication skills, have an affinity with art and culture, and are willing to work irregular hours (not a 9-5 job, sometimes working weekends/evenings). An internship is hard work. We do that too.

DANCE TEACHER INTERNSHIP
MEERVAART JONG | INTERNSHIP DANCE INSTRUCTOR 2026–2027
At Meervaart, everything revolves around connecting people through art and culture. In addition to our theater programming, Meervaart Jong offers a vibrant and inspiring program for children and young people. For the new season, we are looking for an enthusiastic intern dance instructor to strengthen our team.
Are you a creative doer with a passion for dance and education? Do you enjoy working with children and young people and want to develop yourself within a professional theater environment? Can you work independently while also functioning well in a team? Then this internship at Meervaart is for you.
For the 2026–2027 season, we are seeking an intern dance instructor for a period of 26 weeks. The discipline and lesson day will be determined in consultation, tailored to your education, experience, and learning objectives.
During this internship, you will work together with an experienced instructor within one of our dance groups for children and/or young people. You will support the development and delivery of lessons and work toward a performance during the Meervaart Jong Festival throughout the season. You will have the opportunity to bring your own ideas and develop yourself as a creator and instructor within a professional theater environment.
You are following a dance or theater instruction course at an arts university of applied sciences. Experience in the field is a plus. You are creative, independent, can plan well, and feel invested in the organization. You communicate well with children, colleagues, and parents and are open to feedback.
You are available for the agreed lesson times, three joint teacher days, and participation during the Meervaart Jong Festival.
The internship allowance is €100 gross per month.
