In 'Devī' by choreographer Poernima Gobardhan, the dancers take you on a quest filled with the dualities of our existence. How can we create space for feeling and returning to the body in a world that revolves around efficiency and productivity? Three women embody this quest and confront the tension between reason and intuition, structure (Devī) and surrender, action and reflection (Deva).

Their journey is both individual and collective: while they explore their own relationship to this duality, they also reflect broader societal dynamics. 'Devī' invites introspection and calls for a reevaluation of the feminine as an essential and equal counterbalance in the bigger picture.

Since 2018, Gobardhan has been delving into her personal meaning of feminine power and how it is influenced by social and cultural norms.
