From concept to your own radio show

From 21 September, Meervaart Studio launches a new radio-making workshop in collaboration with Echobox.

Always wanted to create your own radio show? In this workshop you'll discover how to translate your ideas into your own, distinctive sound. You'll work step by step on developing a concept and ultimately record your own demo in a professional studio. Practical, creative and hands-on — a unique opportunity to stand behind the microphone yourself and experience how radio is made.

This workshop is also accessible for English speakers (a one-time exception within our programme).

Echobox Radio
Amsterdam has a strong music scene with an enormous wealth of clubs, DJs, artists, producers, musicians and record labels. This scene deserves an independent, non-commercial, globally oriented radio platform.⁠

Echobox Radio was born out of a love for music, community radio and Amsterdam's nightlife culture with the mission to share the sounds and stories of the multicultural city Amsterdam with the rest of the world. Echobox is not just an independent radio platform but simultaneously functions as a creative hub that brings together (young) makers from diverse disciplines, interests and backgrounds.⁠
