Door het absurdistische karakter springt het dansstuk Goats, van choreografenduo Baltzinger & Wilson, er het meest uit.

Under the guidance of Scapino’s new artistic director Nanine Linning, dance, film, and innovative originality come together.
In this unique program, two new choreographies and two short dance films showcase the power and creativity of a new generation of female creators. Choreographers Sarah Baltzinger and Marie-Louise Hertog create an intense, surprising dance experience with inventiveness, playful humor, and a sharp eye on traditions.
In the beautifully designed 'WAXES (a continuation of Vénus Anatomique),' Sarah Baltzinger and Isaiah Wilson reveal the raw power and vulnerability of the female body. With humor, absurdity, and relentless theatricality, they invite the audience to rethink the way we view women’s bodies. Inspired by the museum bodies of wax, which were once intended to teach anatomy, 'WAXES' shows a group of women wanting to reclaim authority over their bodies.
'SACRE' is a surprising reinterpretation of Stravinsky’s classic Le Sacre du Printemps, in which a young girl is sacrificed for the spring. Viewed through a feminist lens, choreographer Marie-Louise Hertog sets a contemporary ritual in motion, in which a group of young men gradually changes under the influence of the harsh online manosphere. In their pursuit of control and status, they do not sacrifice a young girl, but themselves.
The films are curated by the Cinedans Film Festival, in a unique collaboration with Scapino - a first in the dance world.
