General Terms and Conditions Meervaart Jong
Payment of Tuition Fees
Tuition fees can be paid in the following ways:
- Bank transfer: manually through your bank
- Application via the Youth Fund for Sport and Culture.
- Discount via the Kidsgids and personal contribution.
You are requested to transfer the amount within 14 days. If payment is not received, we will unfortunately be forced to deregister your child and engage a collection agency.
Financial Assistance
Do you have difficulty paying the tuition fee? Please feel free to contact us. Sometimes it is possible to arrange support through the municipality or benefit institutions. Please inform us of this directly when registering your child.
City Pass
Do you have a City Pass? Then you are entitled to a discount. Find more information on our website: meervaart.nl/jong/stadspas.
Early Cancellation and Refund of Tuition Fees
Cancelling before the start of the season:
- Up to 14 days before the start date, you can cancel in writing. The direct debit will then be cancelled and any tuition fees already paid will be refunded.
- Only cancellations received by email at the latest 14 days before the start will be refunded.
- For cancellations after this deadline, we will charge €25.
Stopping during the season:
- If you decide to stop during the season, you can do so up to and including the third lesson. We will charge €25; the remaining amount will be refunded.
- If you stop after the third lesson, the full season will be charged.
Moving: please notify Meervaart Jong of a move in writing or by email.
Use of Photos and Video
For information about the use of photos and videos, we refer you to our privacy statement. For programs in collaboration with ISH Dance Collective, ISH is also permitted to use this material.
Rules and Sanctions for Misconduct
Misconduct such as violence, bullying, discrimination, or disrespectful behavior toward children or instructors is not accepted. In case of such conduct, Meervaart Jong may exclude a child from participation. In that case, no refund of tuition fees will be issued.
Dress Code
Classes must be attended in appropriate clothing. Upon confirmation of registration, you will receive clothing recommendations.
Holidays and Schedule
The holidays largely align with regular school schedules. Consult the annual schedule for exact class and holiday dates.

Lessons cannot be made up at another time. In case of prolonged absence, participation may be terminated.
New Student Registration: new children can join until the end of November, provided there is space available. Please contact Meervaart Jong beforehand.
On-site Presence: Meervaart Jong is not responsible for children who arrive early.
Additional Children in Class: visiting friends, children in care, or other additional children are not permitted. Parents may not attend classes either, except during the open lesson in December.
Damage or Loss: Meervaart Jong is not responsible for damage to or loss of students' belongings.

What personal data does Meervaart Jong keep about you?
When you register for a class via the website or otherwise, we are entitled to store personal data. Personal data collected is processed by us in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. This includes the following data we may process: name, address and contact details, date and place of birth, phone number, email address and IP address. If a parent requests Meervaart Jong to apply for the Youth Culture Fund, this also includes income data.
Meervaart Jong uses your data for the following purposes:
- To process your registration for a Meervaart Jong activity and to inform you about it
- To send the Meervaart Jong newsletter, provided you have registered for it
- For statistical, analytical and research purposes (including customer satisfaction surveys)
- To fulfill legal obligations applicable to Meervaart Jong
How long does Meervaart Jong retain my data?
Meervaart Jong does not retain data longer than necessary for the processing purposes. If you have not participated in one of our activities or attended one of our events for seven years, your data will be deleted from our systems.
Does Meervaart Jong share information with third parties?
Meervaart Jong does not share personal information of its participants/visitors with other parties. Theater de Meervaart and thus also Meervaart Jong (and its suppliers) have implemented technical and organizational security measures to protect the data it holds against loss, destruction or any other form of unlawful processing. For example, the personal data received is stored on secure servers. If a parent requests Meervaart Jong to apply for the Youth Culture Fund, the name, address and contact details, email address, date of birth, phone number and income data will be shared.
What does Meervaart Jong do to protect personal data?
We place great value on the protection of personal data. We implement administrative, technical and physical security measures to prevent unauthorized disclosure, use, modification and destruction of personal data in our possession. We do everything in our power to adequately protect personal data in our possession against foreseeable risks.
What does Meervaart Jong do with cookies?
Meervaart Jong uses cookies when providing its services. A cookie is a simple small data file that is stored on your computer's hard drive. These cookies contain no personal data and are used solely to make use of the site easier for you, for example by recognizing you when you next visit the site. What does Meervaart Jong do with social media cookies?

It is possible that when participating in feeds and answering questions or responding to comments, Meervaart Jong records (personal) data. What does Meervaart Jong do with photos taken during activities?
Photos and/or videos are regularly taken during activities. These photos are used, among other things, on our website and our social media channels. Given the large number of photos and the many faces in them, it is usually not possible to ask everyone for permission in advance for publication. Meervaart Jong does, however, carefully consider the interests of people shown. Should a participant or parent/guardian nevertheless object to the use of a particular photo, it will be removed within 48 hours (if possible) upon request. Our photo guidelines:
- If participants or staff do not wish/are not allowed to be photographed, this will be respected.
- If a photo of the participant is used on the cover of publicity material such as a brochure or poster, Meervaart Jong will request written consent from the parent/guardian for publication.
- Meervaart Jong respects the photographer's copyright by crediting the photographer's name.
How does Meervaart Jong update its privacy document?
This privacy document may be updated regularly to announce changes and related consequences for data collection and management. If we make changes to this document, you can see when this last happened by the date shown at the top.
