Meervaart theatre is the perfect location to organise a congress. A dynamic theatre environment where the congress immediately has an inspiring theatre atmosphere. The accessibility of our conference location is excellent. Located right next to the A10 ring road in Amsterdam, with a direct connection to and from Schiphol Airport. Two trams from Amsterdam city centre stop in front of the door. This makes Meervaart the ideal location for national and international congresses.

Congress location Amsterdam

Every year, we organise around 150 business conferences with our hospitable and flexible approach. Meervaart has several halls, both large and small. Our two largest halls are the Blue Hall and the Red Hall. These theatre halls have a very spacious stage, with every possibility for a spectacular presentation. During the presentation, we can provide the technology. Our experienced, in-house technology staff are highly specialised and take care of all technical preconditions. The organisation can fully concentrate on giving the presentation or lecture.

Besides two large theatre halls, we have 10 professional, business meeting rooms ranging from 25 m2 to 120 m2, with 12 to 120 seats. These meeting rooms can be ideally used during the congress for workshops, training sessions, brainstorming sessions, etc. These sub-rooms are located next to each other. This is an advantage when changing rooms between training sessions and workshops.

In addition, our conference centre in Amsterdam has three foyers. There are two foyers adjacent to the Red Hall and Blue Hall, the other foyer is adjacent to our meeting rooms. The largest foyer, located next to the Red hall on the ground floor, can be used as a reception area, among other things, but also for serving a buffet.

These 12 rooms and 3 foyers can be rented as one conference centre. This makes several rooms available for presentations, lectures and workshops.

CSR conference location Amsterdam 

Together with our clients and partners, we are working hard for a green future. There are no fewer than 300 solar panels on the roof of de Meervaart to meet energy needs during business events. In addition, our theatre is completely equipped with LED lighting. This allows us to reduce CO2 emissions.  

Meervaart has the status of an Institution for General Benefit (ANBI). Besides being a theatre and conference location, we are also a studio for talent development. All income from business rentals goes directly to Meervaart Young and Studio. Organising a conference at Meervaart therefore indirectly contributes to arts education for young people!  

Trade fair location in combination with congress 

We regularly receive requests for a congress in combination with a trade fair. Meervaart is the perfect location for this. Our largest foyer, located on the ground floor and covering 685 m2, is the ideal place to organise a trade fair in combination with a congress. Various stands or poster boards can be placed in this foyer, where companies and brands can present their products and services.

Organising a congress at Meervaart 

Accessibility and parking 
Meervaart is the best accessible theatre in Amsterdam. During the congress, guests can arrive at the door by car, public transport or even by boat. Several car parks are located within walking distance. In Parking Garage Nieuw-West, a parking rate (based on availability) of €12.50 per day applies. Unlike parking fees in the centre of Amsterdam, parking fees in our car park have not increased and are still advantageous.  

Hotels in the area 
During a conference, guests come from all over the country and in many cases even from all over the world. Therefore, hotels in the area are of great importance. Meervaart cooperates with a number of hotels in our area. Ask about the possibilities. 

Services 
We are happy to take the hassle out of organising a conference or event. With our catering services, we can provide a delicious breakfast, lunch, drinks, buffet or dinner. We assist in the planning and organisation of the congress. Such as support in professionalising the script. We will look together at the best interpretation and planning for the day and, based on our years of experience, provide valuable tips on registration, branding, technology, music and lectures. During the event, a duty manager will be at your disposal throughout the day, taking care of communication with the catering and technology, among other things. Together with the duty manager, the congress is organised down to the smallest details. 

Any specific requirements during the congress? In our congress location, we can arrange the congress to suit your needs. There is a choice of various packages, including a wide range of catering options. For example, it is possible to conclude the congress with a dinner. In that case, we can serve finger food or a walking dinner, among other things. Catering partners we work with are B&E Catering, Delight Catering, Bakkerij van der Heijden, Grapedistrict, Gulpener and Tony Chocolonely.
