Our approach
What do we do?
At Meervaart Jong, we see the stage as a place where different worlds come together: a community where children and young people feel at home.
The uniqueness of children is central to everything we do. We use theater, dance, music, DJing and visual arts to make that uniqueness visible. During the Meervaart Jong Festival, we show not only what they have learned, but especially who they are in a theatrical reality shaped by themselves.
Our teachers bring their own experience and artistic background with them. They draw inspiration from diverse art disciplines or are themselves active as artists, which gives the lessons an authentic, creative energy. Within that safe and inspiring environment, participants have the space to experiment, develop new skills and grow, both artistically and personally.
Regulier, gevorderd en productie: iedereen een plek
Binnen Meervaart Jong werken we met verschillende groepen, passend bij de ervaring en ambities van deelnemers. De reguliere groepen bieden een brede, speelse kennismaking met kunst en creativiteit. Voor deelnemers die verder willen verdiepen zijn er gevorderde groepen, waar ze intensiever werken aan techniek, expressie en samenwerking. Daarnaast zijn er productiegroepen in dans en theater, waarin deelnemers onder professionele begeleiding toewerken naar een volledige performance. Zo kan ieder op zijn eigen tempo groeien en steeds een nieuwe stap zetten in het ontwikkelen van talent.
