ISH Dance Collective
ISH is a collective of headstrong individuals. Street skills connect with established art forms. ISH does not believe in boundaries. In an innovative way, the performances, custom-made showcases, and educational projects of ISH bridge art forms, disciplines, and cultures.
ISH Dance Collective loves artists who perform at the highest level and at the same time have enough courage to think outside the box. By collaborating with diverse parties such as the National Ballet, autonomous artist Dadara, or emerging creator Shailesh Bahorhan, new artistic and production-level cross-fertilizations arise.
Under the leadership of Marco Gerris, ISH has developed a way of working since 2000 that brings people together, makes dreams come true, and produces fantastic performances. Based in Amsterdam, ISH travels throughout the country and abroad with various performances, educational projects, and workshops.
ISH Dance Collective:
- Combines hip-hop with other performing arts;
- Innovatively bridges various art forms, disciplines, and cultures;
- Creates exciting performances full of breaking, human beatboxing, basketball tricks, skateboarding, dance, and BMX;
- Supports young artists who, despite their talents, are not recognized in society.
