Space Rental
Meervaart Studio offers various options for use and rental of its spaces. Below you will find the options for members (participants), former participants (Friends), cultural rental, and commercial renters.
Meervaart Studio consists of multiple spaces that are used for dance, music, theater, visual art and media.
The Black Room is a fully equipped studio with mirrored wall, ballet floor, sound and lighting installation. This space is suitable for singing, dance and theater classes and can also be used for small presentations.
The Green Room is set up as a media space and features five iMacs. Digital classes take place here, such as film and digital music production.
The music studio consists of two connected spaces with a simple and functional setup. This studio is suitable for recording audio demos and podcasts. In addition, Meervaart Studio has two mobile DJ sets that can be flexibly deployed in all spaces.
The White Room is a multifunctional space and features a music installation, but does not have a mirrored wall and lighting installation.

Our setup is top-notch: four great large-diaphragm microphones on sturdy microphone arms, comfortable headphones for everyone and everything neatly connected. Thanks to the RodeCaster Pro II, every voice sounds clear, warm and professional.
In short: everything is ready to capture great conversations, sharp ideas and good vibes. Plug in your own laptop, put on your headphones and start recording!

Free Working Space for Members
Are you a member of Meervaart Studio (ages 15-26)? Then you can use our spaces and equipment free of charge during the day to work independently or collaboratively on your artistic development. These free working hours are included in your tuition fees.
During the day, Meervaart Studio is open and members can work freely.
This means members have free access to the spaces and equipment to develop themselves independently or together with other participants.
There are two ways to become a member:
You participate in a workshop or project:
As a participant in a workshop, project, or production group, you automatically become a Meervaart Studio Member for the entire season. Membership runs from September 2025 through July 2026* (*one-off masterclasses do not count).
You participated in a workshop or project in the past:
Are you no longer participating in one of the production groups or following a workshop, but would still like to use the facilities of Meervaart Studio and are you under 27 years old? Of course you can. You can then purchase an annual membership for 50 euros, valid from September 2025 through July 2026.
Are you a member and want to use the free working hours? You can do this by making an appointment with us. Call us in advance at 020 - 4107701 to reserve a time slot.
Use by former participants - 'Friends'
Are you a former participant of Meervaart Studio (27-35 years old) or part of our network of 'friends'? Then you can use the rehearsal space at a reduced rate.
Rates for creative use former participants:
- 1 hour: €10
- 2 hours: €20
- 3 hours: €25
Conditions:
- Only for residents of Greater Amsterdam and surrounding regions.
- Maximum 8 people per session.
- Exclusively for creative use (e.g. music, dance, theater, film, photography or spoken word).
- Not permitted for commercial activities, events, lessons or masterclasses.
- Use is only possible during office hours and when the office team is present.
- The space must be left clean and vacated on time.
