ROAD TO RADAR
After weeks of coaching, rehearsals and artistic development, the big moment finally arrived on December 6: the Road to Radar show at the Melkweg! In a packed Radarzaal, the selected artists showcased their talents. From soulful vocals to energetic raps and captivating pop – the audience was treated to an evening of fresh Amsterdam talent.
The program brought young creators together to grow as performers and as artists. Under guidance from professionals in the music industry, they worked on their sound, stage presence and confidence. The final show provided powerful proof of their development – and for many, hopefully the beginning of more to come.

Sem Tanate is a singer, songwriter and performer with an R&B/neo-soul sound full of emotion and honesty. Trained at the Amsterdam Conservatory and active as a vocal coach, she processes her personal journey in her songs.
Doenormaal is an Amsterdam-based artist who makes music like memories – honest, relatable and emotional. Love runs through his tracks – from that one night you can't forget to the kind of pain you'd rather not feel but cherish anyway. His style moves between singing and rapping, melodic and raw at the same time, with hooks that stick with you.
ROMEE is an emerging artist who brings fresh energy to the Dutch urban scene. With honest, vulnerable lyrics and a powerful presence, she creates music centered on empowerment and authenticity.
Muello is an Amsterdam-based singer-songwriter and producer. With a mix of alternative R&B, pop and hip-hop, he creates emotional, melodic tracks that invite introspection and authenticity.
De$tiney is an artist from Amsterdam who has been active in music since 2021. With a sound that ranges from hip-hop and R&B to afro and UK garage, she brings a versatile style.
W19, short for 'Winternineteen', emerged in the summer of 2016 when three friends from Suriname shared their first tracks on SoundCloud. With spacey, wavey beats, catchy hooks and a unique blend of styles, PB, Jair and Gina bring a fresh and authentic sound that effortlessly combines rap and melody.
Djitt is a Dutch-language R&B artist with a unique blend of classical, jazz, and modern influences. She started in opera, discovered jazz, and developed her own distinctive style in the process. In her music, she tells honest stories about love, loss, and personal growth. Djitt's sound is raw, sensitive, and connecting — Dutch-language R&B like you've never heard before.
EP: MEERVAART STUDIO VOLUME 2 (2022)
Twelve musicians join forces for a special collaboration, the EP: Meervaart Studio Volume 2. This compilation album gives an impression of a new generation of Amsterdam artists.
On the record you can enjoy, among others, DALÌ and Alyssa van Ommeren with a strong contemporary mix of Jazz, Neo Soul, Soul and Blues. The fresh sound, inspiring and especially pure lyrics of rapper Dougie the Wolf and the energetic vibe with deep poetic texts of Hessel Du Mark. But also the deep and raw lyrics of rappers Berry van het Westen and Jetski. Collectief Keluarga (TeZi, TOS, Aelia Sapph & Djo) brings a laid-back soul, R&B, hip-hop & jazz vibe. The beats on the album are produced by, among others, Nilly Beats whose sounds are always grand, futuristic and distinctive, and Kotek Beats, a producer inspired by 90's Hip Hop, Jazz and Sound. In short, a special collaboration.

EP: MEERVAART STUDIO VOLUME 1 (2021)
Meervaart Studio, Leeroy (Zwart Licht) and Joshua J. collaborated with a new generation of musicians, Ella John, Doenormaal, Rens, Effrens, J.A.D.E, Aelia Sapph, Season & Lester Vasilda, on this unique EP. The EP contains 8 tracks featuring influences from hip-hop, R&B, (future and neo) soul, grime, trap and afro. As an introduction, the musicians already showcased what they have to offer earlier this month on beats by Leeroy and Joshua J. These Cyphers can be viewed on Youtube.
