With the Meervaart Studio Live Sessions, we give the stage to a new generation of musicians from Amsterdam. In our Blue Hall, transformed especially for the occasion into an intimate club, you can experience soulful live performances up close. You’ll be right by the artist, so every note, glance and silence resonates. Expect new music, personal stories and a special atmosphere in which audience and artist truly connect.

All the artists are talents who began their musical journey at Meervaart Studio. As former participants, they discovered and developed their talent here. They have since grown into independent, distinctive creators with a recognisable sound and their own artistic signature. Their music and personal stories have a way of moving audiences.

Coming up: Djitt & live band

On Friday 20 November, Djitt takes centre stage at a new edition of the Meervaart Studio Live Sessions. The Amsterdam-based Dutch-language R&B artist brings a distinctive blend of modern R&B, jazz and classical influences. Drawing on her background in opera and jazz, she has developed a sound of her own, combining personal, honest lyrics about love, loss and growth.

Together with her live band, Djitt brings her music to life in the intimate setting of the Blue Hall. It’s an evening filled with soulful sounds, relatable stories and musical surprises, giving her distinctive voice and unique sound plenty of room to shine.

Previous editions: Joshua J and TOS

The Meervaart Studio Live Sessions build on a rich musical foundation and the development of talent at Meervaart Studio. Previous editions, featuring artists including Joshua J and TOS, show just how diverse Amsterdam’s new generation of creators is.

Joshua J has long been involved in the musical development of young artists. As a producer and coach, he worked with Meervaart Studio on new music and supported emerging talents as they developed their own sound. 

TOS took to the stage at an earlier Live Session. This Amsterdam-based artist, also a former Meervaart Studio participant, blends R&B, neo-soul and hip-hop. His music moves between vulnerability and experimentation, making for a special evening in the Blue Hall. The November 2025 edition sold out, showing just how much enthusiasm there is for new talent and intimate live concerts.

Each edition creates a new connection between artist and audience, giving another generation of creators the space to tell their own musical story.
