Amsterdam hosted the national Kunstbende Finals on Saturday, June 27th during the Young Creators Festival. At Melkweg and Jimmy Woo, the best young creators from across the Netherlands came together. For the North Holland finalists, it was a home game, which was crowned with impressive performances and two national first prizes.

Our creators demonstrated the wealth of talent North Holland possesses. From impressive performances to exciting acts: everywhere you could feel the energy, creativity and boldness of a new generation of artists.

The prizes are a wonderful recognition of their talent and hard work, but equally special was everything that happened between the performances. Behind the scenes, new conversations emerged, connections were made and participants encouraged each other. Former participants and ambassadors were on hand to support the new generation of creators, making the finals not just a competition, but a place where young creatives found each other.

That's exactly what Kunstbende stands for. The stage is important, but the development around it may be even more so. You discover new creators, learn from professionals, build your network and grow as an artist. For many participants, Kunstbende is the beginning of new collaborations, friendships and creative opportunities.

We are incredibly proud of all the North Holland finalists who shared their work with such conviction. Congratulations to all winners and thanks to everyone who made this special day possible. Here's to even more young talent that dares to take the step onto the stage.
