Kunstbende Noord-Holland 2026 – What a fantastic day!

On Saturday, April 18, Meervaart was entirely dedicated to young talent during the preliminary round of Kunstbende Noord-Holland. With more than 60 acts spread across halls and foyers, the building transformed into a vibrant festival full of energy, creativity, and boldness.

From dance and music to fashion, film, and performance: visitors were taken through the work of a new generation of creators all day long. The variety was impressive, the caliber outstanding, and the atmosphere contagious. Moments throughout the building showcased just how much talent is emerging.

For more than 35 years, Meervaart has offered a platform to young creatives through Kunstbende. Generations of makers have taken their first steps here toward a future in arts and culture. This year again made it clear how important it is to create space for experimentation, development, and finding one's own voice.

We are proud of all the participants who shared their work. It takes courage to step onto the stage — and it was precisely that courage that made this edition unforgettable.

The winners advance to the Kunstbende Young Creators Festival at Melkweg, where they have the opportunity to perform on major stages and continue developing with guidance from professionals.

Kunstbende once again demonstrates how essential it is to provide a platform for young creators. The energy, urgency, and imagination of this generation offer a promising glimpse into the future of the Dutch arts and culture sector.
