ABOUT THE GUEST INSTRUCTOR:
Latanya Alberto is a singer, songwriter and versatile artist from Amsterdam, with roots in Suriname and Curaçao. She makes music, writes poetry and tells stories through images. In her work she combines softness and strength, with great feeling and attention to what is happening in society. She has been writing since her teenage years. Her music is personal and honest, and addresses themes such as female empowerment, feeling safe, love and justice.
Her latest single, humble (March 2026), offers a preview of her debut album. Earlier releases, such as the project Home, also received international attention. She is known for her powerful live performances and has performed on major stages such as Eurosonic, COLORS and North Sea Jazz. She has performed with the Metropole Orkest, opened for John Legend, toured through India and performed shows both domestically and internationally.
