The Atelier
In the atelier, participants discover how to turn ideas into art. They work with various materials and techniques, from drawing and painting to sculpture, photography and film. By creating plenty of work themselves and looking at the work of renowned artists, participants gradually develop their own style and imagination.
There is room to experiment, try new techniques and, most importantly, create a lot. The process is central: making mistakes is allowed, and being curious is encouraged. Whether you enjoy drawing, building, filming or painting, everything is possible in the atelier.
At the end of the season, the work is presented during an exhibition at Meervaart, as part of the Meervaart Jong Festival on 21, 22 and 23 May 2027.

Groei mee bij Meervaart Jong
Bij Meervaart Jong kijken we niet alleen naar leeftijd, maar ook naar wie jij bent, wat je leuk vindt en hoe jij je ontwikkelt. Onze docenten begeleiden deelnemers actief en denken mee over welke groep, uitdaging of vervolgstap het beste past.
Er is ruimte om te groeien, nieuwe dingen te proberen en eventueel meerdere lessen te volgen. Aan het einde van het seizoen geeft de docent een advies door aan het Meervaart Jong-kantoor. Op basis daarvan kijken we samen welke groep of les het beste aansluit voor het volgende seizoen. Natuurlijk stemmen we dit altijd af met jou en je ouder of verzorger.
Daardoor kunnen we kinderen en jongeren écht begeleiden in hun talent, op hun eigen tempo en niveau.
