Youth Fund Sport and Culture

 Ages 4 to 18

The Youth Fund Sport and Culture helps children and young people who are unable to take lessons at a cultural institution such as Meervaart Jong due to financial reasons. The fund covers up to €480 per year. This amount can be spent on two activities per school year: one sports activity and one cultural activity (all Meervaart Jong classes fall under this).

Do you have a City Pass? Then you automatically qualify for the Youth Culture Fund.

You can submit an application yourself via the Youth Fund website. There you fill in your details in four steps and the fund gets to work. You can also have Meervaart Jong submit the application for you. Send us your monthly income, the type of income (employment, benefit or self-employed), a brief motivation and a copy of the front and back of your City Pass via [email protected] or via the comments field when registering. Once we have everything, we will submit the application and process the payment upon approval.

Kidsgids (Municipality of Amsterdam)

 Ages 2 to 14

The Kidsgids is a scheme run by the Municipality of Amsterdam. If you already have an application or award through the Youth Fund Sport and Culture for another cultural activity, you can still receive a discount on lesson fees via the City Pass through the Kidsgids. Every City Pass holder can choose two Kidsgids offers per school year. Part of the lesson fee will be reimbursed this way.

To process the discount, the City Pass must be redeemed. We would appreciate receiving a copy of both the front and back of your child's City Pass. The Kidsgids discount is valid for Toddler Dance, Theater, Dance Play Group, Classical Ballet, Street Dance, Breakdance, Workshop, and DJ lessons. This scheme applies to children aged 2 to 14.

Would you like more information about the Kidsgids, the reimbursement per lesson, or how to use the offer? Please feel free to contact us.
