The Palestinian singer, flutist, and composer Nai Barghouti developed a unique sound by combining Arabic musical styles with vocal improvisation from jazz: NaiStrumentation.

Nai sings with a lot of embellishments. She uses her voice as an instrument; capturing the meaning of the music in sounds instead of words.

Expect in this program Arabic classics from Umm Kulthum and Fairouz, as well as Barghouti's own songs in arrangements for string orchestra, flute, jazz piano, percussion, bass guitar, and qanûn. All of this is woven together with classical and contemporary works, played by the Amsterdam Sinfonietta string orchestra.
