Following the success of 'Knock-Out' (2021), Our Makers Jakop Ahlbom Company, ISH Dance Collective and DeLaMar Theater are joining forces once again for an explosive collaboration. Get ready for a visually spectacular action comedy full of music, slapstick and special effects. For 'A Fine Mess', Jakop Ahlbom and Marco Gerris draw inspiration, among other things, from films by Tarantino and the Coen brothers, as well as iconic action films from the 1980s, such as Lethal Weapon and Die Hard. 

In a remote desert town, a young woman, her brother and their mother struggle every day to make ends meet. Their mother is ill, the bills are piling up, and creditors and debt collection agencies are taking away their meagre possessions. They become increasingly entangled in a spiral of poverty and hopelessness. In desperation, they decide to rob a gas station. What begins as a small raid on the till quickly spirals into a chain reaction of absurd situations.  

Amid all this chaos, our heroes come face to face with a corrupt sheriff who seems primarily interested in lining her own pockets. As the situation escalates into a whirlwind game of guns and betrayal, they discover that even the most hopeless situation can take an unexpected turn. 

And then there’s also a mysterious cowboy with a guitar, who sings the events together.
