Break A Leg Dance Battle

2,000 hip-hop enthusiasts united on Sunday during Break A Leg Dance Battle at Meervaart – 2026 winners announced: Blackout Mini, LIL’ UNITY, ELITE, VibeZ, The Clique, Seigo, Finn, Aya and Chivano

On Sunday, March 1, 2026, Meervaart set the stage for the annual Break A Leg Dance Battle. The street-style dance event attracted approximately 2,000 dancers and visitors, transforming the entire venue into a hub of dance talent, competition, networking, and hip-hop culture.

A total of 62 crews — representing around 900 dancers — took to the stage across various categories: Minis, Kids, Juniors, Adults, and Mega Crews. The level was exceptionally high, treating the audience to powerful choreography, musicality, and impressive performances showcasing strong team spirit and originality.

In addition, 150 solo dancers competed in the popular Seven2Smoke battles in the disciplines of breaking and hip-hop. During intense one-on-one rounds, endurance, creativity, musicality, and personal style were key.

Throughout the venue, visitors could participate in workshops, enjoy cyphers and showcases, and explore an art market. Break A Leg offered more than competition alone — it delivered a complete hip-hop experience.

Participants were judged by a respected jury of prominent figures from the Dutch dance scene, including Franklin Dietrich Spanbroek, Devon Suriya, Jennifer Romen, Stepper, Shane, Sem Deliveyne, Juan, Jeems, and Keshaw.
